Severe storm potential for Northeast
A low-pressure system will continue to move eastward today, sparking severe weather from the Northeast all the way back into the central Plains. The greatest risk for severe weather will exist in the afternoon and evening hours extending from the Ohio Valley to Upstate New York and Vermont. The Storm Prediction Center has issued an Enhanced Risk across portions of Upstate New York and northern Pennsylvania to highlight a greater threat for damaging winds and a couple tornadoes in this region. Cities within the Enhanced Risk region include Syracuse, Utica, and Binghamton.
