Flash flood threat for Northeast, Mid-Atlantic
A rare low-pressure system could develop and bring heavy rainfall, winds and cool temperatures to the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic this weekend. The heaviest rainfall is expected from West Virginia into Delaware and southern New Jersey on Friday into Saturday morning, with 3 to 5 inches possible. Flash flood watches have been issued for portions of the Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic, including the metro areas of Washington D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia.
