Severe storms forecast for Northeast

A severe thunderstorm risk extends from Virginia, across the DC metro area, northward across Philadelphia into interior New England today. This storm activity will have a threat of tornadoes and large hail. There is a very high likelihood of damaging winds accompanying these storms.
