Wintry weather forecast to affect the Midwest, East
 
A system is forecast to bring wet snow and strong winds to parts of the Midwest and East through Saturday. The areas most likely to receive snow in excess of 6 inches include much of Michigan, along Lake Erie from Cleveland to Buffalo, and the mountains of West Virginia. Power outages, downed trees and poor travel conditions are possible. Additionally, waves on Lake Michigan could reach up to 25 ft., making travel on the lake dangerous.
