Severe thunderstorm threat to continue in Midwest

A severe thunderstorm threat is set to continue into the evening in the Midwest following a possible tornado outbreak across Indiana and Ohio. NOAA's Storm Prediction Center has issued the following severe weather watches:

  • A tornado watch valid until 11 p.m. EDT for portions of north central Ohio. This watch area includes Toledo, Ohio. 
  • A severe thunderstorm watch valid until 11 p.m. CDT for portions of western Missouri, eastern Kansas and northern Oklahoma. This watch area includes Wichita and Topeka, Kansas, and Kansas City, Missouri.
