A tropical disturbance may form into a named storm and could affect the southeast U.S. over the weekend into next week. Invest 99-L, which is currently in the Lesser Antilles, is forecast to move on a northwesterly track and could form in the Bahamas due to an environment that may feature low wind shear and sufficient moisture. At that point, the system may be pushed towards Florida late in the weekend into early next week.
