A severe weather outbreak is expected in the central portion of the US today. Impacts include severe thunderstorms with hail and high winds along with strong, long-track tornadoes. Portions of Kansas have a 70% chance of seeing a tornado according to The Weather Channel, while areas in Oklahoma have a 60% chance. As the storms move east, the Ohio Valley and areas of the Mid-Atlantic could see hail and strong winds as well.
