Severe thunderstorms forecast for South, Great Plains and Midwest

Damaging wind gusts, large hail and possible tornadoes are potential impacts today through the end of the week for a large area in the Central portion of the country. In some areas -- namely, parts of northern LA, southern AR, and western MS -- there is a greater than 50% chance of tornadoes. Flash flooding will also be a concern throughout the region.
