Great Lakes to see lake-effect snow through the weekend

Bands of lake-effect snow are forecast to develop late Friday and affect the Great Lakes through the weekend. Up to 12 inches is expected in certain areas of western New York, Pennsylvania, northeastern Ohio, northern Indiana and northern Michigan. Travel conditions will deteriorate as the bands move in.
