Snow, Wind to Impact Maine and Great Lakes into Wednesday Night

Heavy snow and high winds are forecast for parts of Maine into Wednesday night. Snowfall rates up to or exceeding an inch per hour and wind gusts upwards of 50 mph are possible. The intensity of the snow combined with gusty winds will cause roads to become snow-covered quickly and will dangerously lower the visibility to less than a mile.

Snow squalls are also predicted to continue to impact the Great Lakes region. As a result, deteriorating road conditions and brief whiteout conditions are possible.
