Winter Storm Goliath is predicted to bring snow and ice accompanied by strong winds to the Midwest and portions of the Plains Monday. Goliath will then impact parts of the Northeast Monday night through Tuesday. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and slick travel conditions are possible.
Parts of 9 states are under winter storm warnings from eastern Kansas to Michigan as of midday Monday. Winter weather advisories and winter storm watches are also posted in other areas, including the Northeast.
