Winter Storm Ferus Is Predicted to Bring Strong Winds, Heavy Snow to the West

Winter Storm Ferus is predicted to bring potentially damaging winds and heavy snow to the West Monday into Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued high wind warnings for much of western and north-central Oregon along with portions of southwestern and south-central Washington. Wind gusts up to 65 mph have the potential to uproot trees and down powerlines across the region.

Winter storm warnings and watches, as well as winter weather advisories, have also been issued for a large area of the West including portions of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, western Montana, western Wyoming, western Colorado, northern New Mexico, Utah, Nevada and the Sierra Nevada due to heavy snow.
