2.8 Million Samsung Washing Machines Recalled

Samsung is offering repairs, replacements or refunds for 2.8 million top-loading washing machines in the U.S. due to excessive shaking that could cause the top to become detached. There have been a handful of injuries reported as a result of this issue.

The recall includes 34 top-loading models manufactured in March 2011 or later. Owners of recalled models can opt for a free in-home repair and extended warranty; a rebate on any future washing machine purchase and free installation; or, if the unit was purchased in the last 30 days, a full refund.
